The Bihar Federation of Women Lawyers successfully organized a workshop on Court Crafts and Etiquettes on January 19, 2024. The esteemed event was graced by the presence of Justice Nilu Agarwal, Former Judge of the Patna High Court; Mr. K.N. Singh, Additional Solicitor General; and Mrs. Nivedita Nirvikar, Senior Advocate at the Patna High Court.

Mr. K.N. Singh, conducting the workshop, elucidated on various provisions of the Advocates' Act, shedding light on the conduct expected of lawyers. Drawing from his personal experiences, he shared insightful anecdotes to illustrate the diverse facets of court craft.

Mrs. Nivedita Nirvikar, currently the only designated female lawyer at the Patna High Court, inspired young lady lawyers present, encouraging them to appear before the Courts with confidence. Emphasizing the importance of thorough preparation and firmness in arguments, she provided valuable guidance.

The event also marked the commencement of a campaign on "Mahila Adhikaro Ka Kare Samajhdari Se Upyog, Durupyog Se Karein Inskaar." This initiative serves as a clarion call for responsibility, opposing the misuse of rights and promoting a future where legal empowerment and ethical responsibility go hand in hand. Justice Nilu Agrawal officially launched the campaign.

Justice Agarwal, in her address, provided insights into the expected conduct of lawyers from a Judge's perspective. She underscored the entitlement of a lawyer holding a client's brief to do justice to it with confidence and tact.

The workshop saw active participation from members of the Federation, legal fraternity members, and law students from CNLU, Amity Law College, and interns from the Bihar State Legal Services Authority.

This event stands as a testament to the commitment of the Bihar Federation of Women Lawyers in fostering professional growth, ethical responsibility, and legal empowerment among its members and the wider legal community.
