Senior Advocate Arvind Datar has joined the Fountain Court Chambers as a door tenant. He has become the third Indian Advocate to become a part of the Chambers after Senior Advocates Gaurav Pachnanda and Zal Andhyarujina joined as door tenants in 2016 and 2021 respectively.
Fountain Court Chambers is one of the UK's leading set of commercial barristers with offices in London and Singapore. It has full-time members and door tenants appearing in high profile commercial disputes.
Arvind Datar was called to the Bar in 1980 and designated as a Senior by Madras High Court in 2000. He primarily appears before the Supreme Court and he has wide expertise and practise in commercial, constitutional, tax and regulatory laws.
On the occasion of getting invited to join the Fountain Court Chambers, the Senior Advocate remarked that:

Senior Advocate Arvind Datar is also known for authoring leading textbooks on Constitutional and Taxation law. He is currently the Chief Editor of Kanga & Palkhivala's Law and Practice of Income Tax.
