Allahabad High Court Devotes Whole Day To Unite Young Couple, Their Family And Succeeds

The Bench of Justice Dr. Kaushal Jayendra Thaker and Justice Gautam Chowdhary observed,

"We normally in dispute pertaining to such offence do not even issue notice but we now feel that when in the highest Court of the State, people have expectation from us more than they wanted from the trial judiciary."

The Court was dealing with a dispute between a young couple & their family, and the parties are away from each other for about two years.

As per the Court's Order, the Bench devoted two days' time to ensure that the young couple's family is united and requested all the concerned persons, present before it, to bury the past and look forward to future.

The Court also remarked,

"The settlement, which we are having is more than a disposal for us as we feel that we have done real justice to the young couple and their parents."

The Court further noted,

"The Marriage anniversary of the couple is on 25^th January 2021 and it was decided amongst the parties and we are very happy to note that the girl with her some relatives would go to the boy's place at Kanpur on the day. We are really happy that father of the girl has also agreed to this proposal. Father-in-law, mother-in-law and other relatives would also see that a good cordial and warm atmosphere is created."

The Court also expressed its hope that the husband would find out a suitable and habitable accommodation on or before 2^nd February 2021 as, according to him, during COVID-19, he had vacated the rented accommodation in Pune and he assured the Court that he would convey his future plan to the Court.

In view of this, the matter has been listed on 2^nd February 2021 for further conciliation.

Lastly, the Court said that the earlier order of no coercive action against any of the accused shall continue as the complainant is present before us and she has conveyed that she wants to bury all the old differences and nightmares.
