Taking note of the Petitioner's concerns, who was allegedly granted admission to an unauthorized course by the Noida International University, the Allahabad High Court directed the Bar Council of India to depute an inspection team and submit a report on the matter.

"Sri Shivam Shukla, learned counsel representing the Bar Council of India, New Delhi is hereby directed to send the certified copy of this order as well as complete copy of the writ petition to the Chairman / Vice Chairman of Bar Council of India, New Delhi, who are requested to take appropriate steps and if possible conduct an inspection immediately.

The inspection team deputed by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi will submit its report before this Court within two weeks," the court directed.

The matter was heard in-chamber by Justice Ashok Kumar on the day of Advocates strike i.e., November 4.

Allegedly, the Petitioner, Prateek Shukla was granted addition in the batch of 2013-14 for BBA+LLB (Hons.) course by the School of Legal Studies and Research, Noida International University. However, on completion of the said course, the Petitioner was awarded a provisional degree of BBA-LLB and not BBA-LLB (Hons.).

In his plea Shukla alleged that a Letter of selection to the college was issued to him by the University, duly stamped and signed by the Director Admission Noida International University. Moreover, the University claimed to be a UGC (University Grants Commission) recognized university, given the status of a university by Government of Uttar Pradesh.

However, on enquiry from various sources including the Bar Council of India, he discovered that the said University was not authorized for teaching and for issuance of Hons. degree. Hence it was alleged that the Respondent University had committed fraud and had cheated him as well as other similarly situated students.

In these circumstances, whilst ordering the aforementioned inquiry, the court also issued directions for impleadment of the Vice Chancellor and the Registrar of the said University.

The matter will next be taken up by an appropriate Bench on November 28.

The Petitioner appeared in person and the State was represented by C.S.C. Rijwan Ali Akhtar and Rohan Gupta.
