    The Supreme Court of India has announced that the next examination for Advocates-on-Record [AoR Examination] will be held on 3rd, 4th, 7th and 8th of June, 2019.

    Venue of the examination will be the Supreme Court of India Premises.

    All advocates who will be completing one year's continuous training on or before April 30, 2019, are eligible to appear for the examination.

    The last date for the acceptance of the application is 22nd of April, 2019 and the acceptance of the application is subject to production of requisite certificate of training from an Advocates-on-Record under Regulation 6 of the Regulations regarding the AoR examination.

    The notification pursuant to Regulation 5(b) stipulates that the failure of any candidate to appear for any individual paper will be treated as not sufficiently prepared for the examination and they won't be permitted to appear for the examination is 2020, except for good reason and with permission of the Chairman of Board of Examiners.

    Further, pursuant to the Regulations of the examination, a candidate who have failed in all the papers shall not be permitted to appear in the next examination and a candidate shall not be allowed to take more than five chances to appear at the examination, wherein appearance even in one of the papers in an examination shall be deemed to be chance.

    Results of the last AoR examination have been declared and those candidates who failed to obtain 50% of mark in one paper only but obtained 40% in that paper and also obtained 60% of marks in aggregate have the permission to appear in one paper alone, provided that this would be at their option and such candidates may be entitled if they so choose to appear in the entire examination afresh.

    Also, a candidate who passed in all the papers at any single examination but fails to obtain 60% of marks in aggregate, may on payment of the full examination fee, appear for the examination.
