Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy Appointed Additional Judge Of Madras HC [Read Notification]

The President yesterday notified the appointment of Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy as an additional judge of the Madras High Court for a period of two years from the date he assumes charge.

The proposal for elevation of Advocate Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy was forwarded by the High Court collegium on December 19, 2016. The SC Collegium approved it on December 4, 2017.

However, his name was remitted back by the Centre.

On further deliberations, the SC collegium comprising the then CJI Dipak Misra, Justice Ranjan Gogoi(as he was then) and Justice M B Lokur(since retired) reiterated his name on August 1.
