National Seminar on Green Cover Retention [Oct 31, Bangalore]

In view of the landmark judgment of the Jharkhand High Court, in the Court on its Own Motion v The Union of India and the State of Jharkhand, with regard to tree replantation, an association of IFS will hold national seminar on ‘Green Cover Retention: The Critical Need, Policy and Practices’ at IISC Bangalore on Tuesday, which will be attended by senior bureaucrats, central ministers and environmentalists.
The guest speakers will be advocate Delip Jerath Amicus and advocate Amritansh Vats, whose research and efforts helped the high court to come up with this landmark judgment in which a specific order for tree replantation through replanting machines was issued.
The conference will be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Tata Auditorium, IISC Bangalore.
The first session of the conference will focus on ‘Reforming Policies to Make the Green Cover Retention Business Friendly’.
The second session of the conference will focus on ‘Innovative Techniques for Green Cover Retention’.
