National Lok Adalat in Supreme Court on February 14, 2015

The Supreme Court of India declared through a notice released today that the National Lok Adalat will be organized on Saturday, February 14, 2015.

The LokAdalat will cover cases pertaining to “Matters challenging prosecution under Negotiable Instruments Act, Banks mortgage disputes, Hypothecation, Pledge, Matters relating to recovery of debts/bank loans due under the banks andfinancial Institutions.”

The notice also says that the advocate/parties in persons should be present before the LokAdalat on the said date. They must also give intimation of their presence “to the Secretary, Supreme Court Legal Services Committee latest by 10.2,2015 in order to enable the Registry to complete requisite formalities.”
