  • NALSAR Hyderabad wIns the 9th Pro Bono Enviro’ National Moot Court Competition

    Recently The School of Excellence in Law, Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai in association with the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board organized the 9th Pro Bono Enviro’ National Moot Court Competition  from 30th October to 1st November 2015 in which team from NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad won the competition and RMLNLU, Lucknow finished up as runners up.

    Twenty four teams from all over India participated in the competition. The competition was judged by sitting judges from the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, Senior Advocates from the Bar, proficient academicians, experienced practitioners and former mooters. The competition was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jayachandran, Madras High Court and the Guest of Honour for the program was Thiru. Skandan, Chairman of Pollution Control Board.

    The final round   was judged by a five-judge bench comprising the Hon’ble Mr. Justice M.M.Sundresh (Judge, High Court of Madras), Senior Advocate Mr. Arvindh Pandian (Additional Advocate General, High Court of Maras), Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijayakumar (Former Vice Chancellor, TNDALU and Professor, NLSIU Bangalore), Thiru T. Mohan (Advocate, High Court of Madras), and Prof. (Dr.) J. Vincent Comraj (Principal, Government Law College, Trichy).

    Ankit Gupta NLIU, Bhopal was declared as best speaker, the prize for best researcher went to Aditya Thakur, RMLNLU and the prize for best memorandum went to NLIU, Bhopal.
