    The National Law School of India University (NLSIU) announces admission to the following programmes for the Academic Year 2024-25:

    - 3-year LL.B. (Hons.),

    - Master's Programme in Public Policy,

    - Ph.D (Law), and

    - Ph.D (Interdisciplinary) programmes

    Admission to all three programmes will be on the basis of an all-India National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) scheduled to be held on March 17, 2023 from 10 am to 12.30 pm in test centres across the country. Application forms are available on the application portal admissions.nls.ac.in.

    About the Programmes:

    3-Year LLB (Hons) Programme

    The 3-year LLB (Hons) is a postgraduate professional degree programme that is open to graduates from all disciplines. It is a qualifying degree for admission to legal practice. The programme meets all requirements of the Bar Council of India, and builds on top of that to deliver a rigorous legal education in keeping with NLSIU's unique curricular and pedagogic approach. The programme is structured around interdisciplinary study of the law combined with experiential learning. The programme will bridge theory and practice. It is designed to produce lawyers who meet the challenges of the 21st century.

    Master's Programme in Public Policy

    The Master's Programme in Public Policy is a two-year interdisciplinary programme focusing on the interface between policy and the law. This programme provides comprehensive training in designing public policies for complex societal problems, translating policies into deliverable programmes, and evaluating the efficacy of policies. Through this programme, NLSIU trains young professionals to become policy practitioners capable of supporting inclusive and sustainable development.

    Research Degree Programmes

    The Ph.D (Law) programme offers candidates with a background in law to pursue their doctoral work in any domain of the law.

    The PhD (Interdisciplinary) programme encourages students with any degree in the social sciences, humanities, engineering, medicine or any other inter- or multi-disciplinary field to apply. This programme fosters interdisciplinary research that combines social sciences, sciences, policy research and law.

    These programmes provide an opportunity for candidates to teach or participate in ongoing research at NLSIU, in areas related to their dissertation, allowing for deeper integration with the NLSIU academic community.
