    Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) has always been at the forefront of legal education in India, striving to provide a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum that meets the needs of contemporary legal education. RGNUL's recent innovations in the course curriculum integrating Indic Knowledge System and latest developments in law reflect the approach of the University towards providing a cutting-edge legal education which prepares students for the challenges of the legal profession while instilling a deep appreciation for India's rich legal heritage.

    In new Scheme of Study introduced by RGNUL from 2024-25, new laws enacted by the Parliament of India viz., Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023; Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023; Digital Data Protection Act, 2023; Press & Registration of Periodicals Act, 2023; Telecommunications Act, 2023; and, Mediation Act, 2023 etc. have been introduced. This apart, B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree with specialisation in International Law has been reintroduced from Academic Session 2024-25. RGNUL has also introduced new subjects like Agricultural Laws, Laws on National Security, Counter Insurgency, and Defense Strategies, Energy Laws, Information Security and Data Protection Laws, Infrastructural Law etc. in its scheme of study.

    RGNUL has also taken a lead in integrating Indic Knowledge System into its legal education framework. This includes the introduction of Ancient Jurisprudence, Shaastric Methods of Inquiring into the Truth and Shaastric Methods of Argumentation etc. Scheme of Study and Course Curriculum has been revised and updated following extensive consultation with the senior faculty and various stakeholders, including industry experts, alumni, professionals, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Curriculum Development Committee (CDC).
