RGNUL: IPR Practicum Series

The newly established Centre for Innovative and Intellectual Property Rights, RGNUL, Punjab organized Law Practicum Series for the students of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) 4^th year. Mr. Vikas Asawat, Patent and TM Attorney, Former Project Officer Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre, Punjab and Visiting faculty IIT discussed filing of patents at National and International Level and litigation aspects of patent Laws. Mr. G. R Raghavendra, Joint Secretary, Govt. of India Ministry of Law and Justice, New Delhi and former Registrar of Copyrights, discussed fair use in copyrights. He also deliberated upon the grounds to challenge licensing agreements and infringement suits. Mr. Ranjan Narula Managing Partner, RNA IP, Gurugram (The Trademark Firm of the year 2018; Asia IP awards) elaborated upon WIPO dispute resolution, Domain disputes, Trademark and Technology Interface. Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Patent Attorney and former Legal Officer, Federation of Indian Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (FISME), dealt with IP management, business plans and role of IP, assessment of IP compliances and compulsory licensing.
