    National Law University Delhi proudly hosted the Deeksharambh Student Induction Programme for the 17th batch of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the University Auditorium. Our incoming students were warmly greeted by our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai; Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul, and our dedicated faculty.

    The ceremony began with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp by our honored guests: Justice Manmohan, Acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court and Chancellor, NLU Delhi; Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh, Pro Chancellor, IILM University & Former Vice Chancellor, NLU Delhi; Dr. Menaka Guruswamy, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India. This was followed by a Welcome Address from Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai.

    Following the welcome, Dr. Menaka Guruswamy addressed the audience as the Guest of Honour, imparting her wisdom and experiences.

    The second Guest of Honour, Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh, Pro Chancellor of IILM University and Former Vice Chancellor of NLU Delhi, shared his invaluable insights with the students and their families.

    Justice Manmohan delivered an inspiring speech as the Chief Guest, engaging and motivating the new batch of students and their parents.

    Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul, Registrar of NLU Delhi, introduced the faculty members to the new students and their parents. This was succeeded by an overview of the Hostels and Campus Rules and Regulations, presented by Prof. (Dr.) Maheshwar Singh, Dean of Student Affairs, and Dr. Niraj Kumar, Associate Professor (Law) & Chief Warden, NLU Delhi.

    Prof. (Dr.) Anju Tyagi, Dean of Academic Affairs & Controller of Examination, briefed the students on the Academic and Examination Rules. The formal addresses concluded with a Vote of Thanks from Prof. (Dr.) Ruhi Paul, Registrar, NLU Delhi.

    The induction programme was meticulously designed to warmly welcome the new batch and equip them with vital insights into academic and campus life at NLU Delhi. The event concluded with an Open House session led by Prof. (Dr.) G.S. Bajpai, offering an opportunity for the new students to pose questions and interact with the university administration, followed by a delightful lunch.

    This event heralds the commencement of a thrilling academic journey for the B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Class of 2024 with NLU Delhi.
