    GHG Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, is conducting the Padma Shri Bibi Harparkash Kaur Memorial Moot Court Competition 2025 (National Round), scheduled for 29th and 30th March 2025. The event aims to provide law students with a platform to hone their advocacy skills, engage in legal discourse, and experience the intricacies of courtroom proceedings. The competition is expected to witness participation from students across various esteemed institutions, including male students, fostering a diverse and intellectually stimulating environment. Through rigorous legal research, written memorials, and oral pleadings before an esteemed panel of judges, participants will showcase their legal acumen and advocacy skills.The objective of conducting Moot Court Competition is to provide opportunity to gain exceptionally valuable insights into the intricacies of courtroom procedures and legal advocacy. Participating in such competitions also require teamwork, collaboration and cooperation as participants make their valuable contribution as a team in drafting the memorials and enhancing their research skills.

    The proposition has been drafted meticulously aiming at practical applicability of law. The Competition underscores the fundamental necessity of comprehending the legal implications.

    EVENT TIMELINE

    Last date of online Registration along with fees: 27th January, 2025

    Allotment of Team Codes: 31st January, 2025

    Last date of receiving of soft copy of Memorial: 28th February, 2025

    Draw of lots for Preliminary Round: 20th March, 2025

    Exchange of hard copy of memorials: On the day of Competition Preliminary Round and 29th March,2025

    Semi Final & Final Round: Valedictory and Prize 30th March, 2025

    Distribution: 30th March, 2025

    TEAM COMPOSITION

    Each team shall comprise of three members i.e. two speakers and one researcher. The roles shall remain the same throughout the competition and no change in team composition will be allowed after final registration.

    ELIGIBILITY

    All students pursuing their 3 years or 5 years law course from any bona fide College/ Institute/ University across the country are eligible to participate in the said competition.

    Not more than one team shall represent an institution.

    LANGUAGE AND MODE OF COMPETITION

    The official language of the competition shall be English.

    The competition shall be held in hybrid mode (online and offline).

    The link of the same shall be shared with the teams participating in online mode.

    REGISTRATION

    Interested participants, fulfilling the eligibility criteria are required to register for the event by submitting Google form and providing their details.

    Participants who wish to avail accommodation must select the requisite option accordingly in Google Form. No changes will be allowed to make in the registration form at later stage.

    Registration shall be deemed to be completed after the payment of registration fees along with submission of registration form before 11:59:59 PM on 27th January, 2025

    Participants shall receive an acknowledgment mail upon the registration.
