1st NMIMS Moot Court Competition In Collaboration With Bar Council Of Punjab & Haryana [22nd To 23rd March]

The Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana is the statutory body governing legal practice and education in the states of Punjab and Haryana. It plays a pivotal role in maintaining professional ethics and upholding the rule of law. Through its collaboration with NMIMS Chandigarh, the Bar Council aims to promote advocacy skills and enhance students' understanding of contemporary legal issues.

The Moot Court Competition competition seeks to cultivate legal excellence and provide participants with an opportunity to engage with legal luminaries, sharpening their advocacy and research skills. It will focus on contemporary legal issues, preparing law students for careers as litigators, corporate advisors, and policymakers. The event reflects NMIMS School of Law's commitment to academic rigor and professional development.

Details of the Moot Court Competition:

• Date of Competition: 22nd – 23rd March 2025
• Mode of Conduct: Physically on Campus

Eligibility:

• Open to students enrolled in a full-time 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. program from institutions recognized by the Bar Council of India.
• Only one team per college is allowed to register.

Team Composition:

• Each team shall comprise a maximum of three members (two speakers and one researcher) or a minimum of two members (one speaker and one speaker-cum-researcher).

Awards:

• Winner: Cash Prize of INR 25,000/-
• Runner-up: Cash Prize of INR 20,000/-
• Best Speaker: Cash Prize of INR 5,000/-
• Best Speaker Runner-up: Cash Prize of INR 3,000/-
• Best Memorial: Cash Prize of INR 5,000/-
• Best Researcher: Cash Prize of INR 5,000/-
• All participants will receive certificates of participation.

Registration Process:

Interested teams must register through the official Registration Form. Registrations will not be accepted through any other mode. Prior payment of INR 3,000/- (without accommodation) or INR 4,000/- (with accommodation) is required to complete registration. The registration fee includes meals.
