The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Archana Mishra, expressed her enthusiasm for Justice Murari's appointment, emphasizing the invaluable contribution he is expected to make. Justice Murari commenced his tenure in the Supreme Court of India on September 23, 2019, where he exemplified principles of justice and fairness throughout his service. He concluded his esteemed journey at the apex court upon retiring on July 8, 2023. Prior to his elevation to the apex court, he held the prestigious position of Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court from June 2, 2018, to September 22, 2019. His stewardship in the Punjab and Haryana High Court further solidified his reputation as a jurist of exceptional caliber. Now, as he embarks on this new chapter in academia, his vision and leadership are set to propel the Centre of Intellectual Property Rights and Innovations to new heights.
