    Single credit course (online) titled Role of Films in Human Rights Advocacy is being organized by the Centre for Film Studies at National Law University Odisha (NLUO). The course will run from 26th November to 13th December 2024 and provide an in-depth knowledge about the role of films in advocating a social change in several domains.

    About the Course

    This course explores the significant role that films play in advocating for social change across various domains, including gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, environmental activism, caste-based discrimination, disability rights, and indigenous rights. Through a critical analysis of films and documentaries, students will examine how cinema has been used as a powerful tool to raise awareness, challenge societal norms, and influence public opinion and policy decisions.
