    The Gender Justice Cell, NLIU Bhopal is inviting contributions for its journal NLIU Journal of Law and Gender [Vol. I], which is due to be published in 2020.

    The journal, a first of its kind in India, is an interdisciplinary journal which aims to promote discourse of gender issues in the context of law and public policy.

    Eligibility: Law students pursuing the three-year LLB, as well as the five years integrated LLB program, students pursuing LLM or PhD, research associates, academicians, educators, practitioners and professionals interested or involved in the area are eligible to submit.

    Theme: Jurisprudential trends of law and society and its interplay with the gender spectrum

    Sub-themes:

    1. The critical analysis of the practical implementation of the 'The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013'
    2. Historical Legal trends in Gender issues
    3. Gender and Educational Institutions, Campus and Curricula
    4. The stigma of the LGBTQ+ and the effect on the legal spectrum
    5. Gender disparities in power and pay
    6. Human Right violations of women in India
    7. Amendment to cure lacunae in women centric laws
    8. Critical Analysis of the recent Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2019

    Word Limit:

    • Articles: 5000- 10,000 words
    • Case comments: 2000- 5000 words
    • Book review: 1000- 3000 words
    • Essay: 3000- 5000 words
    • Each manuscript must contain an abstract of not more than 250 words.

    Deadline for Submission: 25th January 2020
