    The Centre for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (CIIPR), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), is inviting well-researched submissions for its blog through a Call for Blogs on a rolling basis. This initiative aims to encourage meaningful academic discussions and critical engagement with contemporary developments in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

    Themes and Scope

    Submissions are welcome on the following:

    ● Articles and analytical pieces

    ● Case comments

    ● Short notes

    ● Critiques or reviews of existing academic research

    Purely descriptive works are discouraged, due to emphasis on originality, critical analysis, and structured argumentation.

    The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006 as a university of national stature dedicated to providing excellence in legal education. It aims to prepare legal professionals adept at meeting the challenges of globalization and liberalization in the legal field.

    The Centre for Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (CIIPR) was established in 2020 with the objective of promoting research and capacity-building in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The Centre aims to address gaps in academic literature and connect theoretical frameworks with the practical nuances of a career in IPR.

    Submission Guidelines

    1. Originality and Publication Status:

    ○ Submissions must be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism or high AI similarity.

    ○ Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the facts, opinions, and legal analysis in their work.

    1. Authorship:

    ○ Co-authorship is permitted, with a maximum of two authors per submission.

    1. Word Limit:

    ○ Submissions must not exceed 1,500 words, exclusive of endnotes. Exceptions may be allowed at the Editorial Board's discretion.

    1. Formatting Requirements:

    Main Text: Times New Roman, size 12, line spacing 1.5, justified alignment.

    Endnotes: Times New Roman, size 10, single-spacing, justified alignment.

    ○ Hyperlinks should be used for references wherever possible. If unavailable, endnotes must be provided (no speaking endnotes allowed).

    ○ Citation Style: The latest edition of the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).

    1. Anonymity:

    ○ The manuscript must maintain anonymity and should not include any information identifying the author(s) or their affiliations.

    1. Accompanying Details:

    ○ A short author bio (3-4 lines) and social media handles.

    ○ A brief summary of the submission (1-2 lines) along with 3-4 keywords.

    Submission Process

    Submissions must be made via the Google Form and accompanied by a duly signed Certificate of Originality and Copyright (format available here)

    Review and Communication

    The Editorial Board will notify authors of its decision within two weeks of submission. Expedited reviews can be requested for time-sensitive manuscripts.

    Please note:

    ● Manuscripts should not be submitted to other platforms during the review period.

    ● Violation of this exclusivity will lead to disqualification.

    Withdrawal Policy

    Authors wishing to withdraw their submission must email the Editorial Board with the subject line 'Withdrawal of Manuscript [Blog Code].' The final decision rests with the Editorial Board.
