    The Centre for Research in Dharmashastra and Indic Jurisprudence is dedicated for the revival, research and dissemination of the knowledge contained in the ancient Indian texts. The Centre also works towards suggesting legal reforms which are essential to strengthen the judicial framework of the nation. The Centre is a one of a kind endeavour which tries to study Indian texts, scriptures and laws from an Indian perspective with all due respect to the foreign sources available on the same.

    The Centre for Research in Dharmashastra and Indic Jurisprudence is inviting submissions of blogs which are to be published on the centre's website.

    Theme of the Blog

    The Centre is inviting scholarly submissions on the major theme: Reformation in Indian Judicial System: Revisiting the roots of Indic Jurisprudence.

    The authors are free to select one of the following topics for writing their blogs:

    1. Minimizing crime against women: Reforms with reference to Indic Jurisprudence.

    2. Tracing the elements of Bhagwad Geeta in the Indian Constitution.

    3. Veracity of capital punishments: Indic vs. Foreign jurisprudence.

    4. Influence of invasions on the Indic jurisprudence: A decolonized perspective.

    The above-themes are suggestive and not exhaustive and the authors are free to choose a topic in line with the theme of the blog.

    Submission Guidelines

    All the submissions shall adhere with the following guidelines:

    Font size: Headings= 16, Sub-headings= 14, Body= 12, Footnotes= 10

    Font style: Times New Roman/Bookman Old Style.

    Citation style: Bluebook 20th Edition.

    Word limit: 800-1000 words (excluding footnotes).

    Plagiarism: Maximum 10%. (See UGC Rules on Plagiarism).

    Co-authorship: Maximum 2 authors are allowed.

    Use of generative AI is strictly prohibited and if it is detected then your submission will be rejected immediately.

    Important dates

    Last date of submission: 5th October 2024

    Communication of Acceptance/Rejection: - 15th October 2024.

    Publication of Blogs: Last week of November 2024.

    How to Submit

    All the submissions shall be sent to crdij@mpdnlu.ac.in with subject "Submission of Blog" along with Name of author/authors on or before the last date of submission.
