UKCA And Partners To Give Health Allowance To Employees To Aid In Their Fight Against COVID-19

The management of UKCA and Partners has today (18th of March 2020) decided to give an extra health allowance to its associates and support staff to help them tide over expenses incurred due to the outbreak of COVID-19. This allowance has been made available for the employees to manage expenses related to health and mental well-being.
Manisha Chaudhary, Managing Partner of UKCA and Partners said, "due to added expenses that our associates and support staff may incur due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we have decided to give an extra health allowance to our staff. The Allowance would be in addition to their salaries/ retainers and shall be paid out every month till the situation improves."
Manisha also added that, "these are unprecedented events and we at UKCA and Partners want to make sure that our associates and more importantly our support staff is geared up to fight this pandemic."
Effective 17th March 2020, UKCA and Partners had officially implemented the work-from-home (WFH) option for all its lawyers and support staff, in order to reduce the risk of spreading the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) amongst colleagues, and practice the much-preached social distancing in the current scenario. The WFH option will be available till 31st March 2020 and may be extended basis further developments.
Talking about this development, Manisha Chaudhary – Managing Partner of the firm said, "UKCA and Partners, is committed to safety and protection of its staff, employees and clients. We have asked everyone to work from home which does not change anything except where we are working from. We will be attending urgent hearings in courts and heading back to our homes for drafting and meetings. We will be available to our clients via Video and Audio conferencing."
