Tushar V. Shah And Jahan Ajay Chokshi, Come Together To Start KJAC

Tushar has over 41 years of legal experience as a registered and practicing Solicitor with the Bombay Incorporated Law Society, Mumbai. He also served as the Acting Chairman, Adjudicating Authority, PMLA, New Delhi. Tushar has significant experience in advising clients on various white-collar crime matters such as black money, corporate governance, defamation, economic offenses, embezzlement, extradition, financial frauds, foreign exchange management, money laundering, undisclosed foreign assets, and related investigations.

Jahan has over 10 years of experience as a practicing advocate, before the High Court of Bombay. He specialises in advising clients on dispute resolution and commercial litigation and has extensive experience in dealing with disputes under all forms of contracts. He represents clients before various courts and tribunals including Supreme Court of India, High Courts, NCLTs and before arbitration tribunals. He advises corporate debtors, financial creditors, operational creditors and other stakeholders in relation to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. He has also appeared before the Securities Appellate Tribunal on contentious matters involving takeover code violations, insider trading, fraudulent and unfair trade practices in the securities markets. Before getting on the entrepreneurial bandwagon, Jahan worked with firms like Naik Naik & Co and AZB & Partners.

Udita Kanwar Chavan has joined the team as a Counsel. She is an experienced Intellectual Property and Technology lawyer with over 8 years in the field, advising clients on IP rights, including trademark, copyright, and design matters. She has expertise in IP protection, enforcement, in conducting due diligence, aiding foreign investors, and assisting start-up’s while also facilitating international trademark and design protection for established companies. Prior to associating with the Firm, Udita was working with Khaitan & Co and R.K. Dewan & Co.

The Firm currently has its office at Nariman Point, Mumbai and is looking to expand its footprint to New Delhi and other Indian cities in due course of its journey.
