CR Dua, Chairman, Dua Associates Honored With Lawyers Of India Day Award 2024 For Exemplary Dedication To Upholding The Rule Of Law

The award ceremony took place on December 03, 2024, at Jacaranda Hall, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, during the annual Lawyers of India Day celebrations - a gathering of top legal minds and dignitaries to honour the achievements of the five senior legal professionals who have made a significant impact by upholding the rule of law in the country. The Chief Guest was the Justice Hrishikesh Roy, Judge Supreme Court of India, while the Guest of Honour was Mr. R Venkataramani, Attorney General for India.

The Lawyers of India Day Award is a tribute to outstanding lawyers who have shown exemplary dedication and commitment to legal ethics, justice, and civic responsibility. Mr Dua has consistently demonstrated these qualities throughout his distinguished career, earning a reputation as an advocate for justice and a source of inspiration for legal professionals across the country.

Under Mr Dua's leadership, Dua Associates has successfully handled numerous landmark cases, championed complex litigations, and contributed to corporate legal and regulatory reforms as a member of the National Committee on Legal Services of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and as senior vice president of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) and among the chairpersons of the Legal Reforms Committee.

Mr Dua's contributions extend beyond the courtroom, to championing diversity, inclusion and equality which are now integral to all aspects of the Firm's practice. The Chairman has been the moving spirit behind the Firm's continued CSR support to Him Jyoti Vocational Institute for education of under-privileged girl children, an initiative which is now institutionalized and sustained by the Firm's professionals.
