First Secretary (Legal) Vacancy At Ministry Of Commerce & Industry

Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce invites application for the post of First Secretary (Legal) in the Permanent Mission of India (PMI) to the World Trade Organization (WTO), Geneva for a period of three years-reg.

Name of the Post: First Secretary (Legal)

Essential Qualification and Experience

• The officer must have worked for at least 2 years at the Centre under the Central Staffing Scheme.

• The officer should have experience in the trade, commerce, industry, and allied sectors either at the Centre or in the State Government/ Cadre.

• The officer should have a degree in Law (LL.B.).

• The officer should be clear from a vigilance angle.

• The officer should not have been debarred from Central deputation.

• The officer should have at least a 'Very Good' Service record. However, preference will be given to officers who have an 'Outstanding' service record.

• The officer should not be over 54 years of age.

• The officer should not have been posted on an assignment in a foreign/captive post of the Government of India, earlier.

• The officer should not have been nominated for foreign training or should not be on training or foreign assignment, currently.

• The officer should not be on study leave or long leave.

• The officer should be at least one batch below the batch of officers who are currently empanelled to hold the post of joint Secretary or its equivalent with the Central Government.

• Interested candidates are required to submit the application in the prescribed format and eligible officers who can be spared by the State Governments/ Ministries/Departments may be forwarded/faxed to this Department along with Cadre clearance, Vigilance clearance, detailed Bio-data, and ACR Dossier/certified ACR gradings for the last five years.

• Interested and eligible officers are requested to forward their detailed bio-data (Through Proper Channel) to TA/TC Section, Department of Commerce by 15.12.2021 positively so that the same are processed and sent to the DoP&T within the stipulated time.
