Empanelment Of Legal Counsels At The National Council For Teacher Education (NCTE)

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) invites applications for the engagement of Legal Counsels / Standing Counsels to represent it in the Hon'ble Supreme Court, High Courts and their Benches all over the country.
Name of the Post: Legal Counsels and Standing Counsels
Essential Qualification and Experience
Senior Counsel
• He/ She must be enrolled/registered as an advocate with the concerned State Bar Council.
• For engagement in Supreme Court, the Advocate must be an Advocate on Record.
• Have a minimum experience of ten years of handling Civil/Criminal/ service matter cases. Preference will be given to the counsels who have dealt earlier with matters pertaining to academic/education institutions and statutory bodies.
• A person must have 100 appearances till 2022 if he is applying for empanelment in 2023.
• He/ She must be passed AIBE, if applicable.
Panel Counsel
• He/ She must be enrolled/registered as an advocate with the concerned State Bar Council.
• An appointment as an Amicus Curiae by the Supreme Court or the High Court shall be given due weightage.
• Have a minimum experience of five years of handling Civil/Criminal/ service matter cases. Preference will be given to the counsels who have dealt earlier with matters pertaining to academic/education institutions and statutory bodies.
• He/ She must have 50 appearances till 2022 if he is applying for empanelment in 2023.
• He/ She must be passed AIBE, if applicable.
How to apply?
• Interested candidates are required to submit their application in the prescribed format and shall submit it to the Member Secretary, National Council For Teacher Education G-7, Sector-10, Near Metro Station Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 within 21 days of the notification i.e., 05.07.2023
