    The Haryana Government today (December 23) appointed Pravindra Singh Chauhan, as Advocate General of Haryana.

    In a notification issued by the Haryana Government on Monday, it was stated that "In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 165(1) of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Haryana is pleased to appoint Sh. Pravindra Singh Chauhan, Senior Additional Advocate General, Haryana as Advocate General for the State of Haryana with immediate effect."

    Chauhan was serving as a Senior Additional Advocate General of Haryana, succeeding Baldev Raj Mahajan, who had held the position of Haryana's Advocate General for a decade since 2014.

    He was also appointed as a member of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission in 2018. The new Advocate General completed his LLB Degree from Campus Law Centre, North Campus, Delhi University in the year 1999.

    Chauhan started practising law under his father J.B.S. Chauhan, Senior Advocate at District Courts, Karnal and shifted to Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh in the year 2001 and practised at Punjab and Haryana High Court and dealt with Constitutional, Civil and Criminal Matters.
