Mansoor Ali Khan Should've Known How To Behave In Public: Madras High Court While Hearing His Plea Against Actors Trisha, Khushboo & Chiranjeevi

Justice N Satish Kumar commented that it should have been Trisha approaching the court against Khan. The judge also said that Khan should know how to behave in public especially when a lot of young people were following actors as their role models in the present day.  

The Judge also said that Khan was continuously involved in such controversial activities and should have been careful with his words while interacting with the media. The judge also wondered if Khan had filed the present suit just to escape arrest at the hands of the police.

Following this, Khan's lawyer informed the court that they would produce the entire video of the speech made by Khan to show that there was no ill intention in the speech.

While talking to the media following the success of the movie “Leo”, Mansoor made certain remarks about his co-actor Trisha. His comments were widely criticized as misogynistic and disrespectful. Trisha also commented on social media expressing her displeasure and condemning Khan's statements.

The Chennai police had also filed a case against Khan under Section 354A and 509 of the IPC. Though an anticipatory bail petition was moved by Khan, it was rejected by the court for being bereft of case details. Khan also made a public apology for his statements which was also accepted by Trisha.

Following this, Khan has now approached the Madras High Court saying that actors Trisha, Khushboo and Chiranjeevi had made defamatory statements in public without properly verifying or ascertaining the truth. Khan also submitted that he had merely commented about the negative characters that he had played and not made personal comments.

The matter has been adjourned to December 22.
