Two Weeks Prior Notice To Be Given Before Taking Coercive Steps Against Rahul Easwar If Case Is Registered On Compliant Filed By Actress: Kerala HC

The Kerala High Court stated that a two-week prior notice must be given before taking any coercive steps against Rahul Easwar if any case alleging non-bailable offences is registered against him by the Malayalam film actress.
Rahul Easwar had allegedly made adverse comments about the actress's dressing style while discussing the Boby Chemmanur case in news channel debates. Boby Chemmanur is currently on bail in the case of sexual harassment filed by the actress.
Justice P.V.Kunhikrishnan passed the above order in the bail petition moved by Rahul Easwar on finding that at present no case is registered against him.
“No case is registered at Ernakulam Central Police Station based on the compliant submitted of the victim mentioned in the bail application. If that is the case, then no furthers orders are necessary. But I make it clear that if any case is registered against the Petitioner alleging non-bailable offence based on the compliant of the victim mentioned in the bail application, two week prior notice should be given to the Petitioner before taking any coercive steps. With the above direction, the bail application is disposed of.”
The actress through an Instagram post said that she had filed a case against Rahul Easwar for allegedly creating a public perception against her and for causing cyberbullying against her.
The Counsel appearing for Rahul Easwar submitted today that he only expressed his 'opinion'. It was also submitted that Rahul Easwar is trying to create the Men Commission, since there is no commission for men.
At this juncture, Justice Kunhikrishnan orally said, “Be the champion of citizens, not men alone.”
As such, the bail application was disposed of with the direction of giving prior notice to Rahul Easwar, in the event that a case involving non-bailable offences by the actress.
The plea is moved by Advocates Alex K. John, Ninan Thomas, Reena Jacob, Gego George
