    The Kerala High Court on Tuesday(14th January) said that it will pass orders today on Boby Chemmanur's bail petition. The Public Prosecutor opposed the bail. He further submitted before the Court that bail if given, should be on strict conditions. Justice P. V. Kunhikrishnan said that he would record the personal undertaking of Boby's advocate that the petitioner would not make any objectionable comments on social media.

    The Court during the hearing listened to a video allegedly posted by thebusinessman explaining his comments made about the actress. The Court remarked that it cannot be said that there was no 'double meaning' in what he said.

     Boby was denied bail by the Ernakulam Magistrate Court on Thursday (9thJanuary) and was remanded to 14 days judicial custody.

    He is booked under Section 75 (Sexual Harassment) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 67 (publishing or transmission of obscene material in electronic form) of the Information Technology Act on allegation of sexually harassing the complainant during the inauguration of one of his jewellery stores at Kannur.

    The complainant said that this was followed by other sexually coloured remarks on YouTube and other social media platforms.
