The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday directed the Bangalore University to consider the grievance raised by students about the clashing of exams held by the University with examination of other competitive courses.

A division bench of Chief Justice N V Anjaria and Justice M I Arun said, “The grievance of students that University and other exams often clash, the University will consider the grievance in proper light.

The court directed thus while disposing of the appeal filed by the University challenging the single judge order directing it to reschedule the B.Com examination of the first, third and fifth semesters that were scheduled to be held on 13.01.2025, 15.01.2025, 17.01.2025, 20.01.2025 and 21.01.2025.

The single bench had issued the direction in view of the schedule of the CA foundation examination and CA intermediate examination.

The court in a special sitting held on Sunday stayed the interim order and permitted the University to conduct the examination as per schedule.

The bench while hearing the appeal and the petition filed by the students said “Appellant counsel stated that pursuant to aforesaid order all the examinations are being conducted. The interim order granted in the appeal has worked out for itself as exams are conducted nothing would survive in the appeal.

Accordingly, both the writ appeal and writ petition were disposed of.
