Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava Takes Oath As Permanent Judge Of Jharkhand High Court

Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, who had been serving as an Additional Judge, has been appointed as a Permanent Judge of the Jharkhand High Court.

His Order of appointment issued by the Ministry of Law & Justice stated, "In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, Additional Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand, to be a Judge of that High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office."

His oath-taking ceremony took place on Friday, the 2nd day of February 2024, in the premises of the High Court of Jharkhand, Dhurwa, Ranchi. Justice Srivastava subscribed to the oath as a Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand before Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jharkhand.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the name of Justice Srivastava, Additional Judge, for appointment as a permanent Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand.

On 10 November 2023, the Collegium of the High Court of Jharkhand unanimously recommended the name of Justice Srivastava for appointment as a permanent Judge of the High Court.

Justice Srivastava was sworn in as the Additional Judge of the Jharkhand High Court in June 2022.
