    Justice Manmohan on Sunday took oath as the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.

    Oath was administered to Justice Manmohan by Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena at the Raj Niwas, the LG's secretariat.

    The swearing in ceremony was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. Others present were the Speaker of the Delhi Assembly, Ram Niwas Goel; Leader of the Opposition, judges of the Delhi High Court, Principal District and Sessions Judges of Delhi District Courts, the Registrar General of the Delhi High Court, Chief Secretary of the Government of Delhi and the Commissioner of Police.

    The Central Government had notified Justice Manmohan's appointment on September 21. He was serving as Acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court earlier.

    The Supreme Court collegium on July 11 had recommended appointment of Justice Manmohan as Delhi High Court's Chief Justice. He will retire on December 16.

    Justice Manmohan was designated as senior advocate by Delhi High Court on January 18, 2003. He was appointed as Additional Judge of Delhi High Court on March 13, 2008. He was made Permanent Judge on December 17, 2009.

    Justice Manmohan was appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of Delhi High Court w.e.f. November 09, 2023.
