    The Delhi High Court has directed that a meeting be convened to assess drinking water and other infrastructural facilities in Delhi University's Faculty of Law, including availability of Wi-Fi in the campus.

    While dealing with a plea moved by three students alleging lack of facilities in the varsity, a vacation bench comprising of Justice Amit Sharma impleaded the Bar Council of India and Dean Student's Welfare of Delhi University in the matter.

    The court directed that the meeting be convened amongst all the stakeholders, i.e., Dean Student's Welfare, Dean Faculty of Law, one of the petitioners and amicus curiae Advocate Rajesh Mishra.

    “Let the meeting be convened with the mutual convenience of the parties within 01 week from today,” the court ordered.

    It directed that a report with regard to the meeting be placed on record before July 04, the next date of hearing.

    The plea has been moved by three students studying in the faculty of law namely Ronak Khatri, Ankur Singh Mavi and Umesh Kumar.

    They sought a direction on the varsity to provide clean and safe drinking water by installation of new water coolers and R.O. plants and to repair the old ones.

    The plea further sought a direction on the University to install Air Conditioners in all classrooms and to ensure internet accessibility on the campus by installation or repair of Wi- Fi routers.

    They also sought for uninterrupted availability of water in the campus washrooms.
