    The Delhi High Court on Monday directed RSY News to remove or take down from its YouTube channel the original and copyrighted videos of Asian News International (ANI) in the copyright infringement suit filed by the news agency.

    Justice Mini Pushkarna from posting or uploading any material using any of the original videos of ANI or any copyrighted work belonging to the news agency on any platform, including its YouTube channel.

    RSY News has 36 lakh subscribers on its YouTube channel. As per its description, the channel covers latest news in Hindi on politics, sports, career, jobs, business

    The Court passed the ad interim injunction in favour of ANI in its suit against RSY News. The news agency alleged that RSY News had uploaded 12 videos on its YouTube channel using ANI's original videos which amounted to copyright infringement and piracy.

    Advocate Siddhant Kumar appearing for ANI told Court that the act of RSY News of copying its original videos resulted in monetary losses to the news agency.

    Issuing summons in the suit to RSY News and Google, the Court said that ANI had demonstrated a prima facie case in its favour for grant of ad interim injunction.

    Google's counsel told Court that RSY News had already taken down all the infringing videos from its YouTube channel.

    The Court directed Google to take down, block and disable access to the infringing content published by RSY News, if not already done.

    It further directed Google that in case any of the infringing videos on resurfaces on YouTube, it shall take appropriate steps for taking down the same or disabling its access.

    The matter will now be heard on March 25.
