Andhra Pradesh High Court Notifies Arrangement For Hearing Of Cases During Summer Vacation From May 15 To June 12

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has notified the arrangement of hearing urgent and specific matters during summer vacations from May 15 to June 12. The Andhra Pradesh High Court has notified the arrangement of hearing urgent and specific matters during summer vacations from May 15 to June 12.
The arrangement is in the following terms:
- Division bench of Justice B.S Bhanumathi and Justice A.V. Ravindra Babu, and single bench of Justice Gannamaneni Ramakrishna Prasad: May 18
- Division Bench Justice B.Krishna Mohan and Justice A.V Ravindra Babu and single bench of Justice Gannamaneni Ramakrishna Prasad: May 25
- Division bench of Justice B.Krishna Mohan and Justice V. Gopala Krishna Rao, and single bench of Justice Duppala Vankata Ramana: June 01
- Division bench of Justice Ninala Jayasurya and Justice V.Gopala Krishna Rao, single bench of Justice Duppala Vankata Ramana: June 08
The vacation bench will hear division bench matters including habeas corpus petitions, writ petitions for women and child welfare, anticipatory bail, bail applications if they are rejected by the courts below.
The urgent matters will also be heard with the permission of the Chief Justice of the High Court, which cannot wait till the end of the vacation such as eviction, demolition etc.
The circular stats that no criminal petitions or writ petitions for quashing of investigation/ FIR/ charge sheets will be entertained under Section 482 Cr.P.C., or under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, “except under exceptional circumstances during Summer Vacation period”.
It has also been mentioned that matters relating to service, Public Interest Litigation, release of vehicles and matters covered under Stamps and Registration Act will not be entertained unless “the cause shown is of emergent nature”.
