Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Making Seven Additional Judges Of Allahabad High Court Permanent

The Collegium of the Supreme Court has recommended the names of the following seven Additional Judges of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, for appointment as permanent judges:

1. Justice Umesh Chandra Sharma,

2. Justice Renu Agarwal,

3. Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra,

4. Justice Mayank Kumar Jain,

5. Justice Shiv Shanker Prasad,

6. Justice Gajendra Kumar,

7. Justice Nalin Kumar Srivastava

On 1 May 2023, the High Court Collegium unanimously made the above recommendation, to which, the Chief Minister and Governor of the State of Uttar Pradesh also concurred.

With a view to assess the merit and suitability of the Additional Judges for appointment as permanent judges, we have scrutinized the material placed on record including the opinion of the consultee judges and the report of the Judgment Evaluation Committee.
