Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority-Jabalpur organized National Lok Adalat across the State on 14th December, 2024 under the directions of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and guidance of Justice Suresh Kumar Kait, the Chief Justice & Patron-in-Chief, Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority & Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Executive Chairman, Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority-Jabalpur. The event was attended by Justice Vivek Agarwal, Chairman, High Court Legal Services Committee and Justice Devnarayan Mishra, Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Justice inaugurated the National Lok Adalat virtually by addressing the State Level Virtual Inaugural Ceremony live from High Court of Madhya Pradesh bench at Indore. He expressed that the last National Lok Adalat of the year, celebrates not just the process of justice delivery but also its very essence, which is rooted in accessibility, efficiency and fairness. Lok Adalats represent the essence of ADR mechanisms by providing litigants with a platform to resolve disputes amicably, expeditiously and with a sense of finality which not only saves time, resources and energy but also fosters goodwill and harmony among the parties, turning adversaries into collaborators in seeking justice.
Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, while highlighting the significance of Lok Adalats expressed that Lok Adalats alleviate the pressure on courts and reduce backlog of pending cases thus creating more responsive and efficient Judicial System.
Justice Vivek Agarwal, Chairman, High Court Legal Services Committee, Jabalpur expressing the importance of Lok Adalats said that cases disposed through Lok Adalats bring peace and solace to the litigants.

Officer on Special Duty, Mr. Pradeep Mittal, informed that in the National Lok Adalat, a total no. of 07 Benches in three benches of the High Court and in the District Courts a total no. of 1483 benches, thus a total of 1470 benches were constituted in the entire Madhya Pradesh.
This Lok Adalat was the last National Lok Adalat of the year 2024. In this National Lok Adalats as many as 43281 pending cases and 94910 pre-litigation cases were resolved. Thus, a total of 140133 cases were resolved amicably and Rs. 5978052225/- were awarded.
Registrar General, High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Dharminder Singh, along with Officers of the Registry, Pradeep Mittal, OSD, M.P. State Legal Services Authority and officers of MPSLSA, President and office bearers of the Bar Association were also present. The Principal District & Session Judges cum Chairman, DLSAs, Principal Judges, Family Court and Judicial Officers from the District Judiciary also virtually joined the event.
