    Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) inaugurated the dedicated office space for Child Legal Services Clinic at Adharshila Observation Home for Boys-II, Sewa Kutir Complex, Kingsway Camp, Delhi on Saturday, 13th July, 2024.

    The programme was graced by Justice Manmohan, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Delhi & Executive Chairperson, DSLSA as the 'Chief Guest' alongwith other Judges of High Court of Delhi.  

    The objective behind setting up of a dedicated office space is to provide a congenial environment to the legal service advocates to render free and competent legal services to the Children in Conflict with Law (CCLs) who are kept in the Home for protective and rehabilitative purposes, at the same time maintaining the confidentiality of interaction.

    The 'Inaugural Event' was also graced by Judges of Juvenile Justice Committee of High Court of Delhi i.e. Justice Rekha Palli, Justice C. Hari Shankar; Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta and Justice Amit Sharma. Mr. Sanjay Garg, Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts; Mr. Naveen Gupta, Ld. Special Secretary, DSLSA; Mr. Mridul Gupta, Ld. Additional Secretary, DSLSA; Mr. Abhinav Pandey, Ld. Secretary (Litigation), DSLSA; Ms. Helly Fur Kaur, Ld. Secretary, Central DLSA and other Secretaries of DLSAs were also present at the event, which was well-received and concluded with a grand success, thereby opening new avenues in the field of free legal services. Ld. Principal Magistrates of the Juvenile Justice Boards were also present during the event.






     



    As the monsoon season approaches, saplings were also planted by the Dignitaries at the Home. Children at the Home were also made aware on the importance of plantation of trees to tackle the challenges pertaining to climate change.

    To encourage the children, The Chief Guest and other Dignitaries interacted with them and to instil in them a sense of discipline and team spirit, also flagged off the Archery Training and the Football match of the CCLs.
