The Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC) stands as a cornerstone of justice, dedicated to ensuring that every individual, regardless of economic or social standing, has access to legal representation. Established under the Legal Services Authority Act,1987, DHCLSC's primary mission is to provide free legal services to those in need, upholding the constitutional promise of equal justice for all.
In a significant development, DHCLSC has recently inaugurated its new office space on the Ground Floor, Ancillary Block near S-Block, Delhi High Court.
The inauguration was graced by Justice Manmohan, Acting Chief Justice, Delhi High Court, and Justice Rajiv Shakdher, Judge, Delhi High Court & Chairman, DHCLSC. Also present were Mr. Kanwaljeet Arora, Registrar General, Delhi High Court, and Mr. Arul Varma, Additional District & Sessions Judge and Secretary, DHCLSC.
The new additional office will house the Lok Adalat Wing and Jail Wing of the DHCLSC, along with facilities for the Official Translator, Legal Assistant, and Data Entry Operator. Additionally, the premises feature a Pre Lok Adalat Sitting Room cum Conference Room, enhancing the Committee's operational capabilities.
DHCLSC continues to providing free legal aid and representation to individuals who cannot afford legal counsel, encompassing both civil and criminal matters. The Committee also organizes Lok Adalats and various legal awareness programs, supported by a panel of seasoned advocates who serve eligible beneficiaries.
