Effectual Services conducts workshop on IPRs at JSS Academy of Technical Education

Effectual Knowledge Services, a leading firm in the IP space, recently announced a first of its kind initiative of conducting a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) at JSS Academy of Technical Education. The workshop was targeted at B.Tech and M.Tech students who were about to start their career in the Intellectual property space. The workshop saw participation by more than 80 students who are trying to make a mark in the IP industry.

The session was led by Karan Bhutani (Assistant Manager, Marketing) and Jatinder Batra (Assistant Manager, Operations). The intent of the session was to increase the awareness about the Intellectual Property Rights among the students and the slew of measures taken by the government in the ‘Start-up India, Stand Up India' initiative.

The session was targeted toward introducing students to IP laws in India and procedure involved in filing and grant of patents. The session topics included overview of IPR, types of IPR, IP laws, filing a patent, and grant of patent, etc.

“This kind of IPR session and initiative echoes our mandate to teach students and helps foster an early interest in the IP space, which is essential for motivating students to consider a degree and occupation down the road,” said Amit Goel (Co-founder, Effectual Knowledge Services).
