District Judge Uma M.G Inaugurates Moot Court Society at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Mangalore

The Moot Court Society 2015-16 at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Mangalore was inaugurated by Uma M.G, Principal District and Sessions’ Judge, Mangalore.

While inaugurating the event she spoke about the relevance of mooting in honing young legal minds in her inaugural speech. Sri M K Vijayakumar, the Chief Guest for the day, spoke on how welcoming and encouraging senior lawyers are to the new comers at the Bar. Sri.Vignesh Kumar, Civil Judge & JMFC, Kundugolu, Dharward was the Guest of Honour.

Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research in Law, a pioneer in imparting legal education in Mangalore.

Sri.S.P.Chengappa, President, Mangalore Bar Association presided over the inaugural function and spoke about his own initial years of practice as a lawyer. Sri. Santhosh Prabhu, Faculty coordinator has administered oath for the office bearers. The master of ceremony was Ms. Pooja Pankaj, Mr. Vipul Tej M K delivered the welcome address, Mr. Sumith Bhat, vice-chairman of the Moot Court Society spoke about its vision and mission and  the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Gauthmi Bhandary.
