  • Delhi Metropolitan Education National Moot Court Competition
    Delhi Metropolitan Education is organizing National Moot Court Competition, 2017 (DME NMCC 2017) from 24th - 26th March, 2017 in an endeavour to give Law students an opportunity to showcase their mooting and researching skills.

    Eligibility:

    Students pursuing 3 years/ 5 years undergraduate LL.B. degree course are eligible to participate in this competition. No more than one team can participate from each Institute.

    Team Composition:

    The participating colleges/ universities/ institutes shall nominate one team comprising of 3a minimum of 2 members or maximum of 3 members (two speakers and one researcher).

    Registration and Details:

    • Teams must register by February 16, 2017 by sending an email to mootcourt@dme.ac.in with the subject “Registration for DME National Moot 2017”.

    • A maximum of 40 teams shall be allowed to participate in the competition on first come-first serve basis. The acceptance of provisional registration will be notified immediately to the teams.

    • Upon receiving the acceptance the teams shall send:-

    • A printed copy of the Registration form

    • A non-refundable participation fee of Rs.3,500/- (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred only) in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Delhi Metropolitan Education, and payable at NOIDA (clearly stating the name of the institution at the reverse side of the demand draft), addressed to: Delhi Metropolitan Education, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, PIN - 201301.


    Awards:

    • Winning Team Award – The winning team will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only).

    • Runners-Up Team Award – The runners up team will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs. 8,000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand Only).

    • Best Student Advocate/Counsel – The Best Student Advocate/Counsel will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs. 2,500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only).

    • Best Memorial - The team submitting the best Memorial will receive a trophy and a prize worth Rs. 2,500/- (Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only).

    • Best Researcher - The Best Researcher will receive a trophy and prize worth Rs. 2,500/- Rupees Two Thousand Five Hundred Only)

    • 2 weeks Lexis India access for all the participants.

    • 3 months Lexis India access for all winners (Winning Team/Runners up / Best Memorial / Best Researcher/Best Speaker).

    • Last Date of Registration (Soft Copy) along with Scanned Copy of the demand draft (Rs. 3,500)-16th February, 2017

    • Confirmation of Registration/Participation, together with allotment of team-codes-18th February, 2017

    • Accommodation Confirmation-25th February, 2017

    • Memorial Submission (Soft Copy)-16th March, 2017

    • Memorial Submission (Hard Copy)-24th March, 2017

    • Inaugural ceremony/draw of lots/exchange of Memorials and Researcher’s Test-24th March, 2017

    • Preliminary Rounds (1 & II) Quarter-Final Rounds-25th March, 2017

    • Semi-Finals & Finals-26th March, 2017

    • Prize Distribution/ Valedictory Ceremony -26th March, 2017
