    In February 2022, the Supreme Court authored 83 Reportable Judgments in diverse areas of law. The highest number of Judgments (i.e. 21 Reportable Judgments) were authored by Justice M.R.     In February 2022, the Supreme Court authored 83 Reportable Judgments in diverse areas of law. The highest number of Judgments (i.e. 21 Reportable Judgments) were authored by Justice M.R. Shah, followed by Justice Dr. D.Y. Chandrachud authoring 10 Reportable Judgments.

    In continuation of the statistical study and searchable PDF of Reportable Supreme Court Judgments (as reported in January 2022), the authors of this article present to you a Judge-Wise Statistical study of Reportable Supreme Court Judgments authored in February 2022. The article is accompanied with a searchable PDF, which is a detailed Table covering all Reportable Judgments, arranged Judge-wise, including the ratio, Bench strength, Judgment date and name, with all Judgments hyperlinked for easy access to the reader. It is also clarified that the statistical study and searchable PDF are restricted only to "Reportable Judgments", excluding Daily Orders, Non-Reportable Judgments / Orders, and Review Orders.

    Out of the total 83 Judgments delivered in February, 46 Appeals / Petitions filed before the Supreme Court were allowed, 17 were dismissed, 10 were disposed of with certain directions, and 10 were partly allowed. The percentage distribution of Reportable Judgments on the basis of their outcome is as under :

    Out of the 83 Reportable Judgments, 26 were in the area of Civil Law, 20 pertained to Criminal Law, followed by 8 Judgments in Service Law and 6 Judgments in the field of Consumer Law. The subject-wise distribution of Reportable Judgments delivered in February 2022 is as under :
