The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab celebrated 77th Independence Day with immense zeal and patriotic fervour. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of flag by Prof. (Dr.) Anand Pawar, Officiating Vice-Chancellor, RGNUL, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. He addressed the gathering by recalling the way our brave freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our nation from colonial rule. He stressed the importance of democracy and freedom for the prosperity of the nation and necessitated the need for promoting equality and justice.
In a fervent display of national pride and unity, the National Cadet Corps (NCC) team of RGNUL organized “Meri Mati Mera Desh” programme on the occasion. It commenced with a symbolic gesture as Prof. Anand Pawar along with Dr. Sidharth Dahiya, Deputy Registrar, RGNUL, Dr. Arjun, NCC Co-ordinator, RGNUL and all the NCC cadets collectively pledged, highlighting the significance of the soil as a representation of “holy mother Vasundhara.” The resolution underlines the responsibility to safeguard Vasundhara and our nation through unwavering dedication. The participants pledged their commitment to propel India towards development and self-reliance.
