4th NUALS Maritime Law Moot Court Competition

The National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi is organizing the 4th NUALS Maritime Law Moot Court Competition from March 24-26, 2017.

Venue:NUALS Campus, Kalamassery, Kochi, Kerala

Eligibility:The Competition shall be open for students who are pursuing three or five-year LL.B. Degree Course in Universities/ Colleges/ Law Departments in India.

 Registration Guidelines

• Participation in the Competition is restricted to 16 Teams on a First Come First Serve Basis.


• Teams interested in participating in the Competition will have to make an initial Provisional Registration. The same is to be carried out by filling the Google Form .


• The last date for Provisional Registration is 11:59 P.M. on February 25th, 2017.


• The teams which have been granted provisional registration shall then e-mail a scanned copy of the Final Registration Form along with a scanned copy of a Demand Draft for Rs. 4000/- (Rupees four thousand only) drawn in favour of “The Registrar, The National University of Advanced Legal Studies” to nualsmaritimemoot@gmail.com before 11:59 P.M. on March 5th, 2017. The subject of the e-mail shall be “Registration for NUALS Maritime MCC”.


• The Hard Copy of the Registration Forms and Demand Draft shall be despatched (preferably by Speed Post) not later than March 6th, 2017 to reach the following address:

Submission Guidelines

1. Teams have to submit memorials for both the parties to the dispute.


2. The last date for submission of softcopies of the memorial is 11:59 P.M. on 13th March, 2017.


3. Softcopies of the memorials are to be e-mailed to nualsmaritimemoot@gmail.com with the subject as “Memorial Submission for the 4 th NUALS Maritime Law MCC”.

Registration Fee: Demand Draft for Rs. 4000/- must be drawn in favour of “The Registrar, The National University of Advanced Legal Studies” payable at Kochi.

• Winners – Cash Prize of Rs. 30,000/-


• Runner-up – Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000/-


• Best Memorial – Cash Prize of Rs. 7,000/-


• Best Speaker of the Competition – Cash Prize of Rs. 7,000/-


• Best Speaker of Finals – Cash Prize of Rs. 7,000/-
