Today, the Chhattisgarh High Court's Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha inaugurated a three-day advanced training program for Legal Aid Defense Counsels, emphasizing the critical role of continuous professional development in ensuring effective legal representation for the underprivileged.

Underscoring the crucial role of defense counsels in upholding the right to a fair trial and ensuring justice for all segments of society, CJ Sinha, who is also the Patron-in-Chief of the Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority (CGSLSA), inaugurated a three-day advanced training programme at the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy (CSJA), Bilaspur.

The event, scheduled from 23 June 2024 to 25 June 2024, aims to empower Legal Aid Defense Counsels across the 23 DLSAs of State with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively represent indigent clients and uphold the principles of fair trial and justice.

The Inaugural session of "Defense Counsels Advance Training Programme," was graced with the presence of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha as chief guest, and was presided over by Justice Goutam Bhaduri, with special guest Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal. 

Justice Goutam Bhaduri and Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal shared their insights on enhancing quality legal representation through LADC system and the evolving challenges in criminal defense.

Mr. Shirajuddin Qureshi, Director CSJA highlighted the mission and objectives of the training initiative in his welcome address. The event was attended by the Registrar General and Officers of Registry of High Court, Director and Officers of CSJA, Member Secretary and Officers from SLSA
