Lok Adalat In Telangana Disposes 11.5L Cases At District Level; 225 Cases Settled At High Court With ₹15.9 Crore Compensation
The Telangana High Court disposed of 11,55,993 cases in the 4th Lok Adalat held in the State on 14 December 2024. A total of 5,42,253 cases were disposed of at the pre-trial stage.
The State went above and beyond of inform the general public about the Lok-Adalat by playing 1 minute videos in Cinema Theatres and stop signals.
The Adalat was conducted under the guidance of Chief Justice of TSHC and Parton-in-Chief of TSLSA Justice Alok Aradhe and with the active support of Justice Sujoy Paul (Executive Chairman of TSLSA). Justice Sujoy Paul even interacted virtually with the District and Sessions Judges/Chairpersons, explaining the importance of conducting Lok Adalats.
Prior to the actual Lok-Adalat, pre-Lok-Adalat Conciliation sittings were also held.
Lok Adalat benches were also held in the High Court headed by Justice Surepally Nanda and retired Justice S. Srreedevi. In the Lok Adalat conducted at the High Court, a total of 225 cases were disposed and INR15,93.27.657/- disbursed.
