Centre Notifies Appointment Of Two Judges Of Patna High Court

The Central government on Tuesday notified the appointment of two judicial officers as Patna High Court judges.

They are Justices Shashi Bhushan Prasad Singh and Ashok Kumar Pandey.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their elevation on September 24.

Shashi Bhushan Prasad Singh joined the Judicial Service in May 1996 and has served in various capacities in the State judiciary. He is currently the Registrar (Vigilance) at the Patna High Court.

Ashok Kumar Pandey joined the Judicial Service in December 1995 and has held various positions in the State judiciary. He currently serves as the Director of the Bihar Judicial Academy in Patna.

The Patna High Court has a vacancy of 20 judges against the sanctioned strength of 53 judges.
