This recruitment season, the graduating batch of 2024 from National Law University Odisha (NLUO) has secured a total of 39 jobs so far. The strength of the batch is 178 whereas 75 students participated for recruitment drive.
33 students were placed with leading domestic law firms. 2 students were placed with corporations and banking companies in in-house roles. 3 students were placed with litigation chambers and 1 students with policy think tank. Offers received by the students were by means of campus placements, pre-placement offers secured following individual internships and others were following internships with organizations, many of them through the aid and support of the Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC) at NLUO. The highest package stood at 19.5 Lakhs per annum while the median package stood at Rs 13 Lakhs per annum.
NLUO has established an excellent track record as a force to be reckoned with in the legal community and among the top institutions of legal education. Even though the institute is not located in a well-known city or close to recruiters, it is not surprising that enrolment has increased year after year since the first class graduated in 2014 due to its growing alumnus base, strong teaching staff, and brilliant student body renowned for its mooting culture among law schools.

Additionally, with the support of administration at NLUO, 6 students interested in further studies have received admission into foreign and Indian universities to pursue L.L.M. One student has been selected for “Teach for India Fellowship”. Apart from these, several 2024 batch graduates are currently preparing for competitive exams including civil services, judiciary exams and CAT.

The student members of RCC 2024 were Anjali Soni, Divyansh Bhardwaj, Varuni Agarwal, Vedant Sharma, Keshav Yadav, Naimisha Tayi, Kumar Shubham, Arjun Tyagi, Devang Kaimathiya, Kshitij Ujala, Ruchika Mohanty and Sampark Sampad. The administration, comprising the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ved Kumari, the Registrar, Prof. Rangin Pallav Tripathy and the faculty advisors, Dr. Arjyalopa Mishra (Assistant Professor of Management), Dr. Mayank Mishra (Assistant Professor of Law) played a key role in facilitating the overall recruitment drive.
Beyond these statistics, three students from junior batch of 2020-25 who are currently pursuing their final year have already been offered PPOs with Khaitan & Co., Saraf and Partners, Trilegal and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.
