International Arbitration And Mediation Centre And NALSAR University Of Law Enter MoU
IAMC Hyderabad and NALSAR university of law signed an MoU with the intent of promoting Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) culture from the grassroot level and taking it to new heights not just in India, but internationally as well. Through the MoU, both institutes shall work on developing and further enhancing the framework of arbitration and mediation in the country through various capacity building measures.
The MoU was signed by the Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor NALSAR and Tariq Khan, Registrar IAMC in the august presence of distinguished dignitaries such as Justice Anil Sinha, from the Supreme Court of Nepal, and Justice Naveen Rao, from the High Court of Telangana, Suadat Ahmed Kirmani, Manager Tatva Legal and Ekta Bahl, Partner, Samvad Partners.
Tariq Khan, Registrar IAMC noted that he was delighted to collaborate with a leading law school in India and expressed confidence that this would be a fruitful partnership that would usher in the next era of Arbitration & Mediation in India with the assistance of the next generation of practitioners being trained at NALSAR.
As per the MoU both institutions shall jointly organize and conduct training programmes, seminars, conferences, and webinars in the field of alternative dispute resolution. IAMC shall also be providing young students at the University, with interest in ADR, opportunities such as internships and volunteering opportunities in programmes conducted by IAMC.
This MoU also lays down the foundation for joint research and publication in the field of arbitration and mediation by both institutions.
